Aftershock Awareness Project

OUR AIM The aim of the Aftershock Awareness Project is to bridge the gap between the martial arts community and those who provide aftercare, support and advice to victims of violent crime. To help a trauma victim who is suffering as a result of a criminal attack or violent crime, etc.
People will always deal with the effects of trauma in their own way, no rules are set in stone, over this issue. Some will recover over a very short period of time while others will fight the effects of their experience for many years to come. Victims will often go through various stages of emotion that can range from sorrow to blind anger but some will find that humour is also a good way of dealing with the situation. Making someone smile can help - be aftershock aware.
